Hathersage stepping stones
5 miles

This walk officially starts in Hathersage, but you can start and finish the walk at The Plough Inn.

Hathersage & Stanage Edge
6.6 miles

This 2-3 hour circular walk takes in some of the best parts of the stunning Peak District.

Starting from Hathersage you follow footpaths up to the gritstone escarpment of Stanage Edge.

Mam Tor & Lose Hill
7 miles

Starting in Castleton this 3-4 hour walk takes in stunning views across the Hope Valley.

Places to visit

David Mellor Country Shop

A short walk from The Plough Inn, this iconic shop & cafe, celebrates the finest product designers from the UK and overseas.

Chatsworth House

The ancestral home of the Dukes of Devonshire, Chatsworth is a stunning property that dates back to Elizabethan England.

Haddon Hall

Dating back to the 11th century, Haddon Hall and has been owned and inhabited by the same family for over 900 years.

Gliding Club

The Derbyshire & Lancashire Gliding Club is 5 minutes away, where you can book trial flights, subject to availability & weather conditions.

Ladybower Reservoir

Ladybower Reservoir is well worth a visit, which is where The Dambusters trained for the raids on the dams in Germany during WW2.
